At the PTSA General Meeting held on April 22, 2010, the follow nominations were made for the 2010-2011 Executive Board:
President – Helen DeCerce
1stVP Volunteers – Eva Aleman
2nd VP Membership – Nannette Quaintance
Treasurer – Bethany Atkins
Recording Secretary – OPEN
Corresponding Secretary – Joyce Danford
With the exception of Recording Secretary, all nominations are now closed. Elections will be held at a General Meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 8:30 am in the Media Center. At this meeting, we will also be discussing committee chair positions that will be available for next year. The Executive Board positions and the Committee Chairperson positions are open to all PTSA members. We welcome anyone who has a positive attitude, some new ideas and a willingness to work along side other parents and teachers who strive to follow our PTSA’s mission. Please make every effort to attend to hear about the exciting things we have planned for next year.
The 2009-2010 school year has not ended yet, and the PTSA is still busy with activities at the school. Please refer to the calendar for information on the Blood Drive, Senior Lunch at the Fountain and the End of the Year Lunch for Teachers. We will also be participating in the CD RELEASE/BLOCK PARTYon May 13th. This is being sponsored by Douglas Anderson’s Recording Department.

The mission of PTA is threefold:
- To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of the nation.
