General Meeting Notice

All PTSA members are invited to attend a general meeting on Tuesday, October 11, in the Cafeteria.  This meeting is to vote on DA’s PTSA  Slate of Officers and the Budget for the 2011-2012 school year.  At present the slate of officers is:            

                             President: Vacant

                             VP Membership: Helen DeCerce

                             VP Volunteers: Dee Dee Burgess

                             Treasurer: Sharon Federico

                             Recording Secretary: Vacant

                             Corresponding Secretary: Joyce Danford

 A regular Board Meeting will follow the general meeting.

PTSA Board Meetings are usually held at 10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month in the Media Center.

We welcome anyone who has a positive attitude, some new ideas, and a willingness  to work with other parents and teachers who strive to follow our PTSA’s mission.   

The mission of PTA is threefold:

To support and speak

• on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of the nation.
