DA’s Science Department boasts nearly 80 years of combined teaching experience among its seven full-time and two part-time instructors (over 50 of those years at DA!). The curriculum is remarkably diverse for the student body size, and it encompasses all levels of the three major scientific fields–Biology , Chemistry, and Physics–at the standard, honors, and Advanced Placement levels.  Anatomy and Physiology is also offered at the senior level.  The curriculum’s focus is on practical and real-world applications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, laboratory experience, and projects that foster the artistic as well as the academic growth of students.
